Low Temp Lab | Makers at the Lab

AMES National Laboratory

The Low Temperature Laboratory at Ames National Lab is an unsung hero on campus. Without super-cooled helium (just a few degrees away from absolute zero) many experiments that examine the smallest parts of our universe couldn't happen. However, helium is expensive, and a finite resource. The LTL ensures that it gets to the labs that need it, and that every possible molecule of helium is recovered. Follow the journey of a helium molecule in the latest 'Makers at the Lab' video!`
